And next up, Sprout pullover.

Sprout is a simple sweater with sweet little sprouts adorning the yoke. This (and all the other designs in the book) have a separate chart for the bigger sizes to make sure the colorwork sits on the bust in the same way in all sizes.
The sweater has a round colorwork yoke and a fun zigzag pattern just before the hem ribbing. The hem is cropped, making this sweater the perfect pair for skirts and dresses.
I designed Sprout for Le Petit Lambswool which is airier and lighter than your typical fingering weight yarn. It makes the sweater really light to wear while it will still keep you warm.
This was one of the samples I didn't have time to knit myself. In fact, even Laine team were crunching it pretty close to the deadline as they bound off the last stitches during the lunch break on our photoshoot day. We finished off the sweater with a streamer just before heading out to take the photos.
I'm still not used to someone else making my sample sweaters. It feels funny to design a sweater and then only see it once it's finished. This time was a really positive surprise as I didn't know I would love the sweater so much. It will be one of my wardrobe's go-to sweaters once it comes back from the trunk show.
My favorite thing about this design is how the colors switch during the yoke as the sweater starts off with just the contrast color.
The neckline ribbing is folded double, giving a really neat finishing touch to the sweater.
You can find all the info on the design below. Some of the photos were taken by Laine for the book and some we snapped ourselves.
